No you don't. The main purpose of a Nas is to share files thru the network. You get the same as if you connect a hard drive directly to the U9-h.
Network is good here, no speed degradation (green led).
No play store issue also.
A nas is an external device which provides you network shares and services. It's the best way to share movies for Kodi.

If you have to buy something, think about a Nas, it will save you with Kodi ;)
