    Hey guys,

Stupid question, but i finally bought a 4K Oled (Sony XBR65A1E), which comes next week.
I have never had 4K, or any 4K blu rays. Would i notice a difference using Kodi playing a 4k sourced MKV vs buying a 4K blu ray and putting it in my X-box one x (next week)?

Would they look basically the same?

    Hi

It depends of the MKV quality. You can encode a movie with the settings you want (rate, codec, ...).
A good encoded MKV file won't give you a big difference ;)

    Crazy that i barely notice the difference with a 10 gig, 1080P VS a 80 gig, 2160P.
This 65A1E up scaling is ridiculous. Everything looks completely amazing.
I went and spent a ton on new HD's to get all 2160 sources...was such a waste. The 1080 are more than fine.

I agree. Big 4K MKV are .... too big for few improvments
Anyway, HDR is a big improvment i think, more than better resolution.
