Due to the fact, that I messed up also a lot and have spend hours of resetting the awesome Z83-4, here are my tips and hopefully the full way.

Before you start, you should have 2 USB Stick. One above 4GB for the Windows image and the other one for the Minix drivers.

    1. Download the ISO from the Microsoft Webpage. (I prefer that way much more than using this media creation tool)
      1. Best way, use a non Windows Computer. Also a Smartphone will work.
      2. If you just have Windows, use the Browser Chrome and spoof your User-Agent. (You will find several Extensions for that).
      3. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO and select Windows 10 single language
      4. Select you prefered language and Confirm.
    2. Insert the USB Stick for the image
    3. Right click the Windows Symbol and open Terminal as Admin
      1. Code:
      2. Code:
        list disk
      3. Check for the number of the USB Stick and replace in the following code the # with that number
      4. Code:
        select disk #
      5. Code:
      6. Code:
        create partition primary
      7. Code:
        select partition 1
      8. Code:
      9. Code:
        format quick fs=ntfs
      10. Code:
      11. Code:
    4. Mount the downloaded ISO into Windows by simple double click in the explorer and check the drive letters for the USB Stick and the mounted image
    5. Back in terminal enter
      xcopy e:\* f:\ /s /e
where the first letter (here e) is for the image and the second (here f) is for the USB. Adjust for your settings.
    6. This need time. My German Single Language ISO is 4GB and this is copied to the USB.
In parallel download the Minix drivers and put them to the other Stick.
    You find them here http://www.minixforum.com/threads/z83-4-windows-10-drivers.14297/#post-111037
    and http://www.minixforum.com/threads/solved-recommended-broadcom-wi-fi-driver-update.14836/
Extract them into a folder of the second USB Stick.

If all is done, reboot the device. I figured out, that I can't enter Boot Menu (Del) or Windows Recovery Menu (F9) during first boot of a device. So Reboot and start pressing Del or F9. Both ways will work.

In the Boot Menu, go to the last Tap. "Save & Exit"
There is the Boot Override and select your USB (not the "Build-in EFI Shell").

If you go via Windows Recovery Boot, also select your USB.

You should come to the Windows Installation screen.
    1. Go on and install now.
    2. Fully read the EULA.
    3. Take care that you really read the EULA!
    4. Ok, accept it.
    5. User defined installation
    6. Wipe all 4 or 5 partitions. No partition should left!
    7. Make 1 new one and go on. The Setup will create further ones.
    8. The rest of the Installation is up to you.
    9. Log into you brand new Windows and go to the Windows Device Manager.
    10. select the unknown devices and the Windows search locally on the second USB Stick.
As soon as you have Internet, the Windows will be activated automatically.

And check this forum for additional hacks like the Wifi stuff.
Give me a like if you like :)

i'm giving this a go now.

it asked me for a serial number for windows, i checked 'i dont have one' and continued.

what should i do about this?

That should not happen due to the UEFI, where the Key is Hardware.

I need help! Minix is not able to start again.

I followed the instructions above and did the windows recovery boot, unfortunately the installation of win10 failed due to an undefined error in the installation file.
Now I cannot start the minix anymore, all I can see is shown below. I tried to boot from a newly created usb stick as well, also failed.

So how is it possible to get into the system again and re-install win10?

Is your USB stick formated correctly? Because it is saying "BlockedDevice" and I could remember I struggled on the same due to exFAT or something like this.

I don't exactly understand this Tutorial?!
Better to download the Windows 10 ISO and use Rufus to create the USB installation drive!

Sure, you can use as well Microsofts media creation tool.
But I run into trouble doing it and my stick was also not mountable because of wrong file system.

How was it the wrong file system?
The Media Creation Tool takes care of this!

He did not change the FAT32. And it also did not work proper with formating in Explorer.
I tried it for 4 hours to get it back to clean installation and it worked finally by doing it the old / professional terminal way.
But is was not worth for my to analyse why I did not work.

If this worked for you that is fine but I don't think the the thread title is totally correct!
@Globetrotter has clearly had issues and he possibly wouldn't had he used the Media Creation Tool.

Thank you for your quick responses.

Yes, the stick was formatted in ntfs and I used the Media Creation Tool.
However, at the beginning of creating the installation file, you´ll be asked which way it should be done and I choosed rather USB than ISO

First of all I would like to appreciate the effort done by "the0bone", worked out the above guide and it SAVED my Z83-4.
Following the guide I've successfully installed the WIN10. So, thank you for the guide it was helpful and worked for me.
Note: why i did the win 10 clean install?.... I've got "inaccessible_boot_device" message while booting the WIN10.
(... I caused this boot failure after some reg keys changes, hoping to tune system performance :))) my fault :).
