I read on here that user SNAKEBITE is using a 128gb SDXC card and it is working. Has anyone tried a 256gb SDXC card?

If not, my x8-h plus will be coming in soon, and I'll test it out. I have an unused 256gb card laying around, and it would be awesome if it does in fact, work.

Hi i got a 256gb sandisk mini sd from a china vendor i could not find any windows programme to format fat32 with windows size limitation i trawled and downloaded all sorts of programmes, put it in my galaxy note 10.1 and mounted it then slipped it into my x8h plus it recognises 256
gb i have added some downloaded programmes by copy in es explorer of mp4 files from filmon, they play but there were some dips in the running i think its frame dropping for a second however with all the developement i am not sure if its the sdcard or mx player, etc have tried 4k player vlc etc, only time will tell if it takes 256gb i dont know how to use it as a buffer for p2p and because im too thick to use a recorder in kodi 14.2 it could take some time. Cheers.

Try acronis disk director, format as ext4 or NTFS and let us know the results. Never tried recording TV from xbmc but I have configured acestream to write to my card when buffering torrent stream controller

Yes, please format as NTFS. I have read on multiple posts on this forum that NTFS works the best on Minix boxes.

Look for and download a program called HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool, V2.2.3

Once you install it, you can format to NTFS or FAT32 without limitation.

Hey folks the acronis is a trial and cost more than my sd card cost to buy, hp usb editor thing just sits and does nothing the minix recognises the sd card if i had a clue how to run ap2p to an sd card i could see if that works however im struggling the the mine of information and pitfalls in other posts plus im very limited in my ability too lol.

IT 'S WORKING!!! I'm using the SDXC card in a X8-H Plus btw.

I placed Gufone's root file on the card from my laptop, booted into recovery, the system read it, and I was able to apply the "update-gufone-root-x8.zip". In addition, I downloaded and installed the 'Storage Analyzer' app and it does recognize the SD card.

If there's anything anyone would like me to try to make sure the card has 100% compatibility, please let me know. I am more than willing to try almost anything.

For reference, I'm using the PNY Elite Performance 256GB High Speed SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Up to 90MB/sec Flash Card. It's actually at a lower price now ($94.99)then when I bought it ($104.29):

There's not much of a guide to make. You format the SDXC card as NTFS and insert it into the device.

You're using a mini sd card in an adaptor? What version of of HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool did you download?

Yes its a micro sd in an adaptor into Sony laptop. Version 2.2.3....i looked online for any problems with wndows 7 compatibility but found nothing.

I'm using Windows 7 as well (boot camp partition). I don't understand why you're having problems. You do have read/write access to the drive, right? Please check to make sure that the card is not in the locked position.
