when i click update my minix go to recovery mode instead of update
I bet that your USB drive is NTFS formatted... It MUST be FAT32!
it is in FAT32 i check it 3 times!!
what is the md5 checksum?
If you have TotalCommander, create a file named "update.md5" with this exact content (beside the downloaded zip):
Than just press enter on it to check if the update.zip is valid by md5.
i did that and it was valid but still go to recovery mode
1 check that the aml file is on the root of the usb and the extension is .aml
2 try a different usb stick

If using USB3.0 stick, it will be Recovery mode.
Try USB2.0 stick.
No I used a SanDisk USB 3.0 stick and it is OK?
Do you have both the update.zip and factory_update_param.aml files?
Worst case, you can still use a USB mouse to choose and click from the recovery menu.
Update from EXT -> udisk -> update.zip
i have the same problem and i cant' update from EXT
Give your USB stick a check?
Try with No mini usb connected to otg port....

Any luck on this one? I have this problem too
"E:failed to mount /udisk (no such device)
four times and then
"E:cannot mount /udisk (no such device)
Same problem. Tried two different usb sticks, both usb ports, both files are on root of fat32 disk and md5 checksum correct.
