Most welcome ^^
My Z83-4 doesn't have the 16MB partition.
Villa, interesting...so you got through the Creators Update in one shot?
No, I'm waiting for the notification. Then I will try!
Probably because you have installed a fresh windows anniversary before ?
Hi xixou, happy to report that Creators Update finally completed, after some system cleanups, disconnecting all USB peripherals, and disabling wifi (after download has completed)!
I am new with NEO Z83-4 and have the same issue with the reserved system partition.
After performing the solution posted here to make the system reserved partition larger do I need to reinstall the full Windows version or just the update?
Do the update. You do not need to do a full reinstall.
This is the purpose of this, to avoid doing a full reinstall indeed ^^
OK, Increasing the System partition to 500MB with no problems. This left my C drive with ~10GB.
I ran the Windows update tool to upgrade to Windows Creator. The process finished with no issues. However the Windows version is still showing 1607.
Thanks for any idea.
try to reboot ?
otherwhise install again?
I did reboot again and tried to install again with the same results: Windows version is still showing 1607.
Are you sure you are installing the creator update?
Hi xixou, Thank you for the thread, this solve my problem knowing that I could delete the extra 16M Partition with out any problem. Thank you for taking the time to write up this guide for everyone!
Most welcome awjester ^^
Hi Xixou, Thanks for your help.
Windows update says that my system is updated, Windows upgrade assistant says that my build id 14393 and the latest build is 15063 and "About Windows" says I am in version 1607.
15063 is indeed windows anniversary. Strange that is doesn't work at your side.
If you have done the work of expanding the EFI partition and have more than 8GB of disk space and creators update still fails, then I suggest you run the windows update tool. I have some errors induced by trying to install the update many times. WORKED A TREAT with 250mb UEFI partition, 9.7GB free disk space ...
Remember this is not a MINIX issue but uncle Microsofts issue.
Thanks for your help!
I will try and report back.
