Any reason why there is no official announcement/thread by MINIX-Ken regarding the latest Neo X8-H Plus OTA firmware update KOT49H.20160829??

I guess it was a quick release as he left for the IFA Exhibition Berlin!

I updated this firmware few hours ago, now there's no sound coming out at all. How to repair this?

Check your sound settings and volume. If you still have problems then you'll need to provide more info about your sound setup and settings.

It's still on the same configuration, sound set to pcm, the volume is working, but there's no sound coming out at all. Tried rebooting a couple of times, still the same. If only I can go back to the previous well working firmware, it would be great. This is the first time i'm having problem with my minix neo x8-h plus.

Try this.. power off, unplug hdmi cable.. power on.. wait 2 minutes.. pull the powerplug.. plug in the hdmi cable en power on again. This way hdmi configuration will mostlikely reset... worth a try.
