Minix and HD audio

Ok, I've dug around in the forums and haven't been able to find an answer, so here's what I'm trying to do.

I'm using Kodi as a music server to my home entertainment system.
mp3, flac, and some .wav files, fine.

I know that Kodi converts everything to a max of 48KHz, and I have a growing collection of 96/24 music that I want to play out correctly. The workaround seems (to me) to be to make the minix serve the HD files to my Oppo media player, which will play pretty much anything, and with a very nice DAC.

I installed BubbleUPnP on the minix and it sees all the .mp3 and flac files on my 2TB HD but NOT the HD files.
When I put HD files on a thumb drive, Bubble (and the Oppo) see them fine. It appears that if there are .mp3 or flac files, the BubbleUPnP goes all stupid over the HD audio files. I think it's seeing 16 bit .wav files, but after all the disk swapping I'm not sure.

The Minix and Oppo see everything from the Windows machine via Oshare.

    Any ideas?

For now I just put all my HD stuff on a drive and connected it directly to the Oppo. *shrug*
