When I go to some websites in either google or internet explorer I cant play the movie posted on the site. It will play on my mac but I cant get it to play through the browser provided on the minix.. Do I need to download a media device to play the movie? I can play on you tube and videos are fine. The error is video can not be played no media player.

if the site uses a flash plugin it will not work.. flash was deprecated in kitkat.. there is no native flash support in android 4.4 ( kitkat )

You could also give a try to one of the following Web Browsers from the Google Play Store:

Puffin Web Browser - Paid version:

Puffin Web Browser - Free version:

    Dolping Web Browser:

FlashFox Pro Web Browser - Paid version:

FlashFox Pro Web Browser - Free version:

All the above Web Browsers have very good "Flash Players", however Puffing have the Latest Flash Player "Over The Cloud", and always has worked faster and better for me...

Hope this information can help you!

Try also an Utility APP, from the Google Play Store, called " Flashify":

    "Flashify" APP DescripciĆ³n:

Flashify lets you share a url from a browser without Flash support to another browser that has Flash.

This app does not include Flash, it just makes Flash easier to access after it's installed.

I wrote it because I was annoyed that Chrome Beta doesn't support Flash and likely never will.

This lets you easily switch to another browser that does support Flash without awkwardly copying and pasting the url.

Flashify doesn't have to be used for Flash, it is useful for anyone that wants to switch browsers quickly on the same website.

Also try enabling all plugins in the browser settings. Sometimes that helps also.

Original Minix's (H-8 Plus I have) browser is doing job fine for me ... for videos. For other things(not video) I'm useing Dolphin and Chrome.
@Rodriges thanks for tip ... I'll try Puffin now. It looks very good! It can zoom as do Dolphin too.
