    A member did offer recently what appeared to be the difinitve answer but at this very moment I can't quite locate the info. Will keep looking!

    Thanks for the help villa but the none of the files in those links have the drivers that he uses in the video. There is no .bat file and the others are different too. You do unfortunately get a load of pop up ads when you download 1st link!
    Any idea where else I might get the files he uses in video. They are different as far as I can see from those included in minix rar file?

    Tried editing the config file too. Not a clue what I was doing but I think I did it right!
    Still no joy though

    still getting usb device not recognised. think I have the correct file now from second link/source. what version of each (driver and batch tool) should I try? does it matter? any one else still having difficulty?

    I have never had to bother with it, never having had or used Windows 8. I have had my Z64W for around two months now. Didn't bother using it until Windows 10 appeared. Still have a Windows 7 laptop (due to be updated to 10) and a few old PCs lying around with various/multiple OS's.
    So I'm sorted! ;)

    If I've learned anything...... Stick with win 7!(y) For more that just you're minix dealings. By all accounts its far less hassle.
