Official Release NEO U9-H FW007A (20171020)

    Dear all U9-H users,

    We're pleased to announce the official 007A firmware for NEO U9-H (20171020)

    Users with FW006 or FW007 may update to FW007A simply by our MINIX OTA app.
    (OTA update window is ready)

    NOTE: Adoptive storage (e.g. TF card) is not supported by our OTA, please remove any of such storages before proceeding.

    Here is the change log since FW006:

    1. Fixed the slow switching audio tracks bug
    2. Added 1080p 23.976Hz and 4K 23.976Hz modes
    3. Fixed bottom status bar problem
    4. Fixed unable to perform clicking in some apps problem
    5. Fixed a bug that occasionally HDCP disabled by itself during boot/wakeup
    6. Fixed green screen bug of HBO app
    7. Fixed MX player HW decoder bug when playing from SAMBA server
    8. Enabled screen scale adjustment inside of Kodi app
    9. Fixed VPN icon bug of MINIX launcher

    OTA update procedures (will be available in the week coming):
    1.) All Apps -> System update (MINIX OTA app) -> Check for updates
    2.) Download the OTA update package
    3.) Confirm to update and let the system to reboot and complete the update process

    To enable the new Kodi 17 passthrough:
    1.) Go to Settings -> Audio -> Digital Sounds
    2.) If you use a HDMI amplifier, just leave it as "PCM"
    3.) If you use a SPDIF amplifier, choose "SPDIF"
    4.) If you don't have an amplifier, simply leave this option as "PCM" (default)
    5.) In Settings -> Security & Restrictions -> Unknown sources -> On -> OK to confirm
    6.) Download and install official Kodi 17.1 stable version or latest nightlies
    7.) Enable passthrough in Kodi settings, you DON'T have to if you don't have an amplifier.
    8.) Check those passthrough options supported by your amplifier.

    Please use a download tool which supports resume function to download the update package,
    and please make sure you verify the MD5 checksum before proceeding to update!!

    P.S. We are moving forward to develop Android N firmware after this release.

    After Ota update , in the new Kodi 17.5 in passthrough audio menu, I have not anymore the possibility to select HD audio: DTS HD e Dolby HD options are gone. On my other box (minix U1) attacched to the same AVR all fine in kodi 17.5. I have already cleaned kodi app cache , reinstalled kodi without success. Any suggestions for me ?

    check that you are in "expert" mode for Kodi settings

    It's a changelog from FW006 to FW007A, + Google play bug corrected.

    Thanks but when I try to install it keeps saying app not installed I'm getting frustrated

    I am already in expert mode. Simply the options for DTS Hd and Dolby HD are gone with the wind .
    Any other suggestions?

    go back to 17.4 or try 17.5.1

    If the app will not install I suggest you perform a Factory reset.

    Go to Audio setting. Go down below and click "Reset above settings to default". That was what I did.

    Very strange. o_O
    That would indicate the System update app is installed!

    After the update can you see the System update app now?
