    Hi @Minix Ken

I see from your statement for the final release that some of the issues with 1080/50p playback have been solved.

Could you please advise what issues we can still expect.

You could say that easily simply because you are looking backwards now,
6 months ago nobody could tell when would happen today. 6 months ago S812-H didn't exist and the AC wifi chip had 50% higher listed price & nearly no supply. This is reality.
Limitation? X8-H is good enough to stream any 1080p media, and yes it's limited if you need to stream 4K videos.
The Plus is to bring it further capabilities and more than enough bandwidth reserve to stream 4K media, which these media are still very limited nowadays.
The 002 RC and the coming final 002 fw are really good and if you're not confident at all, I really can't help you but to recommend you look for something else better.
The history is, we keep our promises to update firmware till now, you may check if other brands still support old platforms, if they had ever support them.
This is really off-topic so I am not going to reply on this matter again.

Sorry I quoted the wrong firmware version when I replied you,
it's the 002 RC firmware we released to our beta test crew earlier I meant.
It's 95% close to the 002 firmware that we are going to release.

Same SDK, same firmware, just different drivers for different modules to compile.
They don't understand the benefits of launching a new product utilizing the same SDK is actually helpful and positive.
If we launch something of a different chipset platform it could be worse because they wouldn't work the same way.
The engineers maintaining X8 and X8-H will also take care X8-H PLUS, to us they are one product, one project, just an extension.
Software-wise, differences are just: the H.265 decoder driver, ethernet driver, wifi driver.

This seems to be the link to the same firmware that was asked not to be installed. The MD5 and SHA checksums are exactly the same.

All your are absolutely right Ken.

There is nothing massive change in new model

I remember in 2007 when i purchased dual core intel pc ..When i went after 2 days there was core 2 duo available.
I felt very bad and was so disappointed i buyed core 2 duo pc also.

There was only xp then. Till date iam running both the pcs without any problem with the latest windows 8.1 with the same performance

Well, great news! New official and stable firmware for this week. Thank you for your commitment with your products and customers.

So I'll be a little busy updating my parent's and my cousin's Neo X8-H. Just one question: Updating the FW via OTA will erase the actual configuration? I mean, all their apps, their (nova) launcher, their icons pack, their wallpapers... will remain or will be wiped?

    Thanks gain!

Everything should remain as it was. Maybe a few tweaks here and there but all good for the most part

I expect a detailed changelog for this update. In recent weeks, much has been said and written. No one has really more an overview of - what is new; what has been changed?
    Changelog is required!

Still problems with HLS streaming?? I won't bother flashing the release candidate if it doesn't fix this.
