Thanks mick56, works very well. I now have Minix firmware on internal storage and can boot LibreELEC from a USB stick, makes it a lot easier to try new LibreELEC builds without having to replace Minix firmware.

    Here's a how I did it:

    1. (Not necessary if you already run Minix firmware) Install Minix stock firmware on Minix, http://www.minixforum.com/threads/how-to-flash-firmware-image-x6-x8-series.116/.
    2. Use LibreELEC USB-SD Creator (https://wiki.libreelec.tv/index.php?title=LibreELEC_USB-SD_Creator) to write mick56's LibreELEC image (the img.gz file from https://yadi.sk/d/J9pHkMo0uHcKU/KRYPTON-17) to a SD card.
    3. Mount the SD card in a computer (I use a Linux laptop) and create a "boot" folder in the root directory of the LIBREELEC partition.
    4. Copy boot.scr (https://yadi.sk/d/du9BkKk632MbMp) to the "boot" directory. Safely remove SD card from computer.
    5. Turn off Minix, insert SD card in Minix, use a paperclip or something else and press the little reset button on the back of your device and keep it pressed while turning on the device. When you see the Minix logo appear, release the paperclip from the reset button and let it boot. It will boot from internal storage.
    6. Turn off Minix. The next time you turn it on it will either boot from interal storage (Minix firmware) or from a USB stick (if present).

I don't know if you're supposed to be able to boot LibreELEC from the SD card, if I try I get an error message about a corrupt file system. I use a USB stick with mick56's LibreELEC image instead, works for me. You can create a bootable USB stick with LibreELEC using LibreELEC USB-SD Creator and the same img.gz file from https://yadi.sk/d/J9pHkMo0uHcKU/KRYPTON-17.

I can not get it to work with an SD card, which is described ..
I send a screenshot and hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
I really want to make it work with dual boot
