    No private message received...Please provide a public solution if there´s any. It is frustrated by something that is not working a few hours before.

    @Villa

    1.) Unplug the power adapter from Z83-4;
    2.) Look for a small hole close to the antenna, it's the CMOS reset button;
    3.) Find a pin and push inside to that hole, click to the clear CMOS button and keep holding it for 5 seconds then release it;
    4.) Connect back to the power adapter, and try powering up the device again.

    This is what we've advised users to do.
    And if these steps don't help fixing their problem, we need them to return it.

    (We suspect Windows has written something to the BIOS and lock it up, and to release it the CMOS battery on the board has to be removed. Since we can't ask users to do that by themselves, that's why we are telling them to return it. It's not a hardware failure, more like a Win 10 bug. V1.4 BIOS is released and used for production to minimize the chance of that.)

    Ken, also struggling with same problem. Minix Z83-4 was a present. Installed Microsoft Office, on and off no problem 2-3 times. Left it installing Norton and came back an hour later to steady green light and unresponsive box. I see I should check BIOS version once I get in again but for now no sign of life. Help?!

    Hello,

    it has happened couple of times,

    from Minix off:
    I tried to turn it on and instead a green light show up and no boot at all, had to remove the power cable and try again.

    from Minix on:
    I turned off from windows and the light instead of going off it went from blue to green.

    no documentation found, any help please?

    Good to know Diana, have you updated to V1.4 BIOS as well after the reset?

    OK, can you tell me the issues that you're having? (please don't copy from the 1st post).
    by the way, please try resetting the BIOS first, many users fixed simply by doing that:

    1.) Unplug the power adapter from Z83-4, so no power is connected to it;
    2.) Look for a tiny hole close to the Wi-Fi antenna port, it's the CMOS reset button in there;
    3.) Find a pin and push inside to that hole, click onto the clear CMOS button and keep holding it for 5-10 seconds and then release it;
    4.) Connect back to the power adapter, and try powering up the device again, first bootup after reset takes little longer time than normal (~30s).

    I turned on the device, but the green light is flashing constantly and there is nothing that is, no signal on TV and a black screen.
    Reset button doesn't help.
    What should I do to solve this problem?

    If you're sure that you might have to return it to your seller.
    Where did you buy that? Please let me know.
    The number you provided is not a serial number, do you find another code
    There should be 2 on the bottom of the unit.

    I bought this device from Amazon seller Beststar
    When I turned the device in first, it worked and then I've updated the Windows and stopped working.
    I bought it in USA. But I live in Israel and I can't send the device back to USA

    Mine didn't respond to reset button.
    I will open it and disconnect cmos battery to see if this trick will do the job, I can't send it oversea if the solution is THAT simple.

    My serial number is A01E0B052B6C.

    The other minix I bought with the failed one didnt fail, I found this forum after the first failure so I updated BIOS of second one asap.
