    Dear all,

Tonight was my first HD-DTS concert with my AVR, U1, XBMC for Minix and film on NAS via SMB : Perfect ! Thanks allot all Minix HK guys !

I have one issue with my new Logitech K400 plus RF Keyboard connected via USB dongle :
I selected French for system country and French for my android keyboard, which is linked to azerty keyboard. This is properly selected by android, and duely confirmed by the "on screen keyboard" that effectively appears azerty, whiteout any problem, for selection of the letters with the remote for instance.

Here comes the issue : the K400 plus Logitech keyboard is recongnized by the U1, but the typing remains qwerty...the problem is that I purchased a azerty keyboard and I need azerty caracters...so the A of my keyboard badly types a Q...showing that the keyboard is considered as qwerty, despite the system selections for azerty.

I ran out of ideas for solving my problem.

    Who can help ?

    Thanks.

    Try this... :)
    Advanced Settings
    Language & input
    Physical keyboard
    Logitech USB Receiver
Choose keyboard layout, SET UP KEYBOARD LAYOUTS, French

    Yessss !!!!!!!
    :)

Thank you, your are great !
What you explained above is to be found in the "advanced setting", this is not directly avaiable neither in "country" nor "keyboard" settings, so it took time for me to understand your explainations, but it works PERFECTLY. (y)

Actually you should find that there are two Settings options, one denoted by a Cog icon the other denoted by a Slider icon. The Advanced settings you talk about, accessible by selecting the Slider icon, are accessible by selecting the Cog icon! :)

Right. Thanks again, everything is OK now.:)
How can I avoid the virtual keyboard to appear on the screen with some app, since I don't need that any more... ?

There is an option to switch it off in Settings, but in earlier firmware it caused problems. I haven't bothered to see if updates have corrected the issue!

What I suggest is to use Null Keyboard app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wparam.nullkeyboard&hl=en
Once installed you will find in Settings, Null Keyboard, select it.

The K400 is one of my favorites devices for Android TV boxes in general because it has the touch pad and the Logitech Universal USB Adapter.

Consider getting a Logitech M325 mouse that you can pair to the same adapter used by the K400 keyboard. On my machines I always have an A2 Light or A3 air mouse, a K400 keyboard (usually set aside for serious data entry) and a Logitech M325 mouse.

You can use any Logitech USB mouse that has a wireless Universal Adapter. Just make sure the Logitech mouse you buy has the * symbol on the adapter that shows it has the Logitech Universal Adapter. Once you have it, take the adapter for the keyboard, install it in a Windows PC, go to the Logitech website to get the pairing software. It should allow you to pair both devices to the same adapter. When you reinstall the adapter in your Android Minix box, both the K400 and the M325 mouse will work on the same adapter and you can save the extra one as a spare.

Warning: There is a cheaper Logitech M325 mouse that does not work with the Logitech Universal USB Adapter. If no * on the adapter, do not buy it.

I like flexibility and this combination gives me that. Often using the mouse with the on screen keyboard and or the air mouse keyboard for quick short entry and the K400 Logitech keyboard with the touch pad and the M325 mouse for more extensive text entry. Finally to give total flexibility each of my machines can also use voice to text entry with an A3 air mouse, a Logitech Blue microphone or microphone in a Logitech webcam.

I hope these options will help you see the beauty of the K400 keyboard by Logitech and their other great products.

Unfortunately my eyesight for fine print like a date is much older. It popped up when I was searching for something. Sorry if it was a problem.
