hi im new to the forum please be gentle.

ive had the neo x8 for a few weeks now and ive never been able to resolve sound issues.
i have the neo x8 hardwired to router and hdmi to my pioneer 87 av reciever, when watching films through xmbc im getting stuttering sound issues and even straight to my plasma i get the sound issues.
could anybody please give me their settings for the neo/xmbc for audio or other settings i should use, please let me know what i should click or leave unchecked in settings.

    hi
ive set both minix and xmbc to allow passthrough and checked the ac3/dts options as in the forum passthrough wiki, picture is stable but im getting pops and wobles in sound every now again, ive tried different film files all through xmbc same issue, its looking like the minix is not for me its a shame as i like the look and speed of the minix.

Ilso something to try is install an application called "notifications off" from playstore.
It could be the massaging of android makes the sound switch to native when a notification is recieved and cuts the audio.
If you turn off noticications then this should not happen.
You could give that a try too

    Hi,

Like Gary I am totally new to the world of minix and android devices. I just purchased two minix 8 h devices and am trying to get them up and running on mytwo TVs (Sony Bravia and a Vizio E480i-B2). I have plugged both in activated the Gotham XBMC and tried to play a few videos - problem I am experiencing in both instances is that there is no sound. I know that this is a very base problem but I have tried adjusting settings and am having no success. I am appealing on the kindness of this board asking that someone offer some suggestions as to what I need to do. Help?!

For reference purposes the basic specs for my TVs are as follows:

    mboxsettings(green) > advanced

Set "No audio to USB" or "Keep audio on HDMI" to ON
    Set audio autodetction OFF
    Set Audio output to PCM

Now you should have audio on your TV, and can go from there.
