    I have gone through the files but do not think I have found what I need. Can someone help or direct me to the information I need?

    Kodi, XMBC no longer work at all on my Android Neo X8-H Plus. I want to update. Current info is:
    1. Android Version 4.4.2
    2. Kernel Version 3.10.33 (I have no idea what this is)
    3. Build Number LOT 49H.20170119 released (No idea what this means)

    When I tried to update my Minix Box, I received message, "Your system was damaged wireless update disabled"

    Thanks for any help and direction you can provide.

    Just try manually re-installing the firmware.
    Instructions can be found here:
    http://minixforum.com/threads/how-to-flash-firmware-image-x6-x8-series.116/

    Firmware can be downloaded here, same as Marty posted.

    Thank you for the reply and link. I have been away. I am having a problem...

    From the link I cannot get past step 6 on my computer:

    "6.) Upon successful connection the "Connect success" message will be displayed inside the application;

    I am unable to get the "Connect success" message. My Minix box message on the TV says:

    Android system recovery <3e>
    KOT49H.20170119 release-keys
    Volume up/down to move highlight;
    enter button to select

    reboot system now
    apply update from ADB
    apply update from EXT
    apply update from cache
    wipe date/factory reset
    wipe cache partition

    Also, when I try to open "X8H_PLUS_LOLLILOP_RC2" I receive the following message:

    "Couldn"t Mount File The disc image file is corrupted."

    What am I doing wrong? Which option do I choose? How do I get "Connect success" to appear in the "USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.6.2_build2" window on my computer?

    Any suggestions?

    Okay, no luck. I followed all the provided links and did exactly what the posts said to do using the burn card method. Unfortunately I am still getting the same message on my screen:

    Android system recovery <3e>
    KOT49H.20170119 release-keys
    Volume up/down to move highlight;
    enter button to select

    reboot system now
    apply update from ADB
    apply update from EXT
    apply update from cache
    wipe date/factory reset
    wipe cache partition

    Interestingly, the only change is that my Minix Box power button will not work to power down the device so I must unplug it (It works to power up). Any new suggestions?

    Are you positive you have a X8-H Plus ?

    Yes, absolutely sure. However, there have been issues with this box since I purchased it. I considered any problem as my 'lack of knowledge' issue. But after reading through several pages of this forum, I think that there is something defective in the box. Since it is now too old to do anything about it, maybe I should get something else. Any suggestions?

    It's unfortunate that you've had problems from the get go !:(... my X8H-Plus still runs well without issue ( I will admit it dosen't get used much however )
    It depends on what your needs are as far as upgrading.... ie, Windows or Android ? The U1 is very stable in my opinion and a good choice. The U9-H has a few issue's to iron out but I feel will/should far surpass the U1 .... Android 7.? should be coming soon !!! (fingers crossed);)

    If windows is for you the N42C-4 would be my suggestion !
