The play of this 4k hdr goes with problem

This is a 200MB sample of Dunkirk movie in 4k with HDR, bitrate somewhere around 65mbit/s.

And when I play it in Kodi 17.6 over usb stick, the picture starts for couple of seconds and then freezes but the audio still goes on. What seems to be the problem?

I have Minix U9-h, and LG OLED55B7 which detects HDR and sets itself in one of the HDR picture modes.

Could be that the sample is 'broken', the author didn't properly 'cut out' this sample?

I'll try to play it from internal memory...

What you've played here is some reencode of 4K movie in lower bitrate, a mini-4k rip. Yes, you've played the same movie, but this yours is only 16.8 GB, not even close to the bitrate of this sample, cut out from the 50 GB file, with 60mbit/s. That's why your playback goes smooth. These are not the same examples.

But then again, the high bitrate shouldn't be a problem here, because I've read somewhere that the U9 can play up to 120mbit/s bitrate.

I played it from internal memory and got the same results. I think this sample is broken, it's not properly 'made'. In the beginning you see the scene from a boat but the sound of Tom Hardy from a plane, so it's broke.

Newsflash! I played the file from internal tv player on my OLED tv and the same results. This file is broken. I'm terribly sorry for this theme

Yes, I play big 4k hdr movies too (between 50 to 85 GB) with higher bitrate, but I decided now to catch those lighter movies to save space on my 3 nas. Same quality for me, I just kill other audio languages.

    Sent with my S7 edge
