I think that the most disapointing aspect of the supposed release of the U9 is the attitude of Minix. They are not responding to U9 e-mail enquiries at this present time.

Because it's not released, or even announced yet...
If you email Apple about the iPhone 10, they'll tell you to go away and wait for details once it's announced.

That's incorrect. My previous communication with Minix said that the U9 would be released at the end of November 2016.

Minix confirmed that's not the case unfortunately.

Me too. I want to buy a 2nd box for Xmas. Not sure if U9 will be available before then.
As I said earlier, since chipset manufacturers tend to release new SOC every year, I may also consider a lessser box. There may be some good Xmas deals coming our way!

These are the specs - so it's still 2GB ram.
Minix confirmed the hardware got finalised a while ago, the outstanding issues are with the software.

Thats just a custom picture that one of the many websites have made themselves that are hoping to stock it when it's released.

There is still nothing official on this yet.

How much of a difference would there be in performance of u9h and x8h plus at the moment with a normal Kodi user?

Unknown fully as it's not released.

You'd expect faster menu speeds, improved compatibility with different file types/encoded types, 4k 60hz support

Hai ragione se il prezzo è quello è esagerato.
    Prenderò un prodotto diverso.

This corresponds to $213US and yes, this is expensive. This is 3-4 time more expensive than other S912 2gb/16gb boxes! The $40 S905x boxes are now getting more and more attractive!

No sure if I read it right. Does the site say it would deliver in 7-14 days? If so, this would mean that they have U9 in stock. Wonder why there is still no official announcement from Minix.

Minix is Hong Kong based so I am surprised that it's not available first in Geekbuying and Aliexpress.

They don't have it in stock. There are many fake websites like this.
They provide illegal channel software through Kodi at extra cost.
Just shows what kind of retailer it is....

Sure looks this way. So, this would mean that the price is not reliable as well then,

Nope, not when they charge up to 140 extra for adding Kodi to it (with the pirated channels addons)
