Where are the official minix support team ?

    Thread title says it all......what has happened to any support from MINIX on what is the official MINIX forum...??

    nothing for nearly 2 weeks now

    Good question.
    I sent Minix HK an email last Wednesday regarding a problem I had with my Minix NGC-1 mini pc but haven't received any reply.
    I also posted the problem on here.
    Again nothing.
    As others have said Minix seem to be only interested in selling & not supporting :(

    Nope, they're not even interested in selling. I posted up some pre-sales questions and my thread has gone unanswered for a week now. Noticed another thread on a similar subject. I even posted my questions on Amazon and haven't received a reply from them there either. Thought it was just me and my dumb noob questions but if this is the level of support I can expect then they're putting me off buying the product.

    I got my Ngc 1 problem fixed thanks to Microsoft support who I have to say were brilliant.
    I have three Minix boxes in total & was thinking of getting a new box for the lounge.
    Amazon have the Nvidia Shield tv on sale for £159.99. It comes with remote & a games controller as well. It also has better hardware.
    It also has Google Assistant & at that price it was a no brainer
    So Minix you've lost out & no one to blame except yourselves.

    Support is very good here, most bugs are corrected.
    Maybe @MINIX - Ken could be sick, it's also a possibility :whistle:

    Does the possibility of illness or dealing with family issues really matter here ?..... that can't be more important than dealing with our devices can it ??:rolleyes:

    There's no excuse for the Minix parent company in Hong Kong not answering emails.
    Perhaps they all have Asian flu or something :D

    So what your saying is that Minix has only one support person? Lol. I originally thought Minix had great boxes due to they always usually had monthly updates and fixes...now with the new neo uh-9 I don't see these monthly fixes or updates? And a true question is what is the most current firmware and how can u tell on the box the current firmware u have? Every time I look now for an update it has always said u have the current update...but i haven't had any updates since I got it....the older neo box always seemed to have a monthly update.

    Ok...thanks for that...I have a problem...I reset to factory and rebooted on the new neo uh-9...however when i go into the ota icon to update it...I get the message that I'm up to date...but yet the version it says I have is 20170629!!!! Help!!!

    Have you run the System update app?

    Clear the System update app Data/Cache.

    Yep, did that. I even went to the recovery screen (root) and wiped / put back to factory settings and rebooted...still nothing...

    Usually when the guys go quiet it means one of two things. Something new is coming up and requires their attention, they are away on Holiday.
    They always announce their absence in regards to holidays... soooooo

    As for the parent company in Hong Kong not dealing with emails, I can't answer that
