BUG!! WOL is not working

Since my N42-C is located in my Server Rack it has no Monitor.

So i thought I could Connect to it via Remote Desktop (Windows 10 Pro feature) but if the N42-C wents to Sleep Mode after some time it doesent Wake on Lan Events. I have to manually go to my server Room and Click the Power Buttons once to wake him start up again.

Since this is not the First machine I manage via Remote Desktop I tried a couple of Settings that might solve this problem e.g. turn of "fast Statup"

Any Advice how to fix this ?

I believe WOL only works if a device is powered off.

Your device has gone to Sleep within Windows. As far as I'm aware WOL will only Wake (Turn On) a device that is powered Off.

Have you tried preventing the device from sleeping?

That being said, I did a brief search and found this...

    @Villa

Yea, i just turned OFF Sleep Mode, but this is not my intended State since the Machine is only used once in a while (e.g.20 min / Day) the rest of the day it could "go to sleep to safe power"

WOL / Sleep to safe Power seems kind of Useless at the current Point

@Villa - yea , as mentioned - i normally know how WOL works since this is not my only device im Manage Remotely. I know the Basic settings that are necessary which are

I would think that they would learn from such Issues and dont build those flaws in their new products as well ?
My Optionion is, that WOL is most usefull in saving power when the computer fell asleep after some minutes and wakes up when needed...not to have him manually shut down every time i connect with him...

This is the normal WoL behavior, unit must be shutted down, only ethernet hardware listen magic packet on port 9.

    @skynet @Villa

FYI. WOL isnt working neither with sleep nor with a normal shutdown...so WOL is broken

Should receive it Monday all being well! :)
In the meantime, maybe @skynet you can test WOL?

Ok, tried eveything and WoL seems broken.
Changed WoL in Bios to ON
Checked advanced network card settings and Magic packets are enable
Used all my WoL software (3 on my PC and 2 on my smartphone), no way.

@MINIX - Ken : Does it use standard magic packet on port 9 ?

The WOL feature in MINIX NEO N42C-4 is available for both two modes (OFF state or sleep mode).
To make WOL feature works, something needs to be noted:
    1. Enable 'Wake on LAN' in the BIOS.
    2. Turn off 'fast startup' for Windows 10 OS.
    3. Turn off the Firewall of the Windows 10 OS.
    4. Make two computers on the same LAN.
    5. Be sure MINIX NEO N42C-4 in OFF state or sleep mode for more than 10 seconds.
    6. Update the Ethernet driver. Last time I test this feature, it does not work. When I update the Ethernet driver, it works.
(The driver cannot be uploaded right now, I'll manage to upload it in next few days)

    The Default Driver Version is
    10.21.811.2017

    i now downloaded the Version:
    10.23.1003.2017

    Update:
I can confirm that the new Driver solves the Problem in Sleep mode
BUT - (which is not bad for me) - The N42 doesnt wake up from a Shutdown (Off State)

Thanks. Will update ethernet driver tonight and will try again. It was the only thing I didn't tried. Firewall was off on both sides.

    Sent with my S7 edge

Due to some reasons, I can't upload the driver.
Bue the default driver(Version 10.21.811.2017) and the latest driver(Version 10.23.1003.2017) all work for WOL feature.
Here's the link to download the driver from the Realtek official website:
    http://12244.wpc.azureedge.net/8012.../cn/nic/0018-Install_Win10_10023_11282017.zip

I've attached two pictures(WOL (1).png and WOL (2).png), which help to make WOL feature works.

@AndyCli said that cannot wake up the module from OFF state(shutdown).
I tried to reappear this problem, I suppose the 'Shutdown Wake-On-Lan' option has been disabled. (See attached picture WOL (2).png)
When this option is disabled, the N42C-4 can be waked up from sleep mode, while cannot be waked up from OFF state.

I am using 'Magic Packet Utility' to do the WOL, I think you can try this software.
Plus, which software did you use to do the WOL?
