    Dear all NEO Z64-W users,

Here is the official V1.83 BIOS for Z64-W:

1.) This BIOS disabled the ESRT service using by Microsoft update service to avoid wrong BIOS update being pushed to our devices.

    Update procedures:
1.) Download the V1.83 BIOS zip package
2.) Extract this package to your Windows' local storage, e.g. Desktop
    3.) Run the "update.bat" by double-clicking it
4.) Choose "Yes" to proceed when Windows prompts for your administrative rights
5.) Patiently wait for the update to complete, DO NOT disconnect the power during the process or the BIOS will be corrupted!
6.) Restart the system to take effect, please notice that the system will restart for several times before re-entering the OS.

    Team MINIX.

We didn't expect to release this update, we are doing it now because Microsoft had pushed a wrong BIOS update to our Z64-W devices.

They have already pulled down the wrong update, but they haven't find out the root cause yet.

Better safe than sorry, we are releasing this new BIOS to disable the ESRT service that they are using.

I did not experience issues with my Z64 and the incorrect Windows Update - perhaps because the update went through after Microsoft corrected the problem. Should I still install this BIOS update? I am always wary of unnecessarily flashing a BIOS...

I would say yes as it prevents the same thing happening again.

I followed this tutorial that Ken wrote and nailed the unit again with the pending update.
Blue power light and nothing else. Like in the first place.

My Z64-W has AMI BIOS 5.6.5 . Should I install this V1.83? Is that AMI BIOS too?

I have also updated my BIOS successfully. I have also changed in the boot section to USB full support and now I can enter at boot time the BIOS with a wireless keyboard Logitech K400r.
