    Dear all NEO Z83-4 users,

    Here is the official V1.4 BIOS for Z83-4:
    http://www.minixforum.com/downloads/download.php?file=Z83-4_V1.4_BIOS.zip

    1.) This BIOS update allows Wi-Fi to be refreshed automatically after changing its settings;
    2.) This BIOS disabled the ESRT service using by Microsoft update service to avoid wrong update being pushed to our devices;
    3.) Allow CMOS to be reset after improper shutdown;

    Update procedures:
    1.) Download the V1.4 BIOS zip package
    2.) Extract this package to your Windows' local storage, e.g. Desktop
    3.) Run the "update.bat" by double-clicking it
    4.) Choose "Yes" to proceed when Windows prompts for your administrative rights
    5.) Patiently wait for the update to complete, DO NOT disconnect the power during the process or the BIOS will be corrupted!
    6.) Restart the system to take effect, please notice that the system will restart for several times before re-entering the OS.

    Regards,
    Team MINIX.

    V1.4 BIOS is updated above.

    Reminder:
    If you're using V1.3 BIOS, please disable the write protection inside the BIOS before proceeding to V1.4 update.

    If you're using V1.3 BIOS, you can see that option inside it.
    Press "Delete" during boot to go into BIOS.

    Hello
    I bought a Minix Z83-4 and I'm having stability problems. I've been watching the BIOS version and is CHT0A110 (will be version V1.1 or V1.0?).

    My question: Can I upgrade to v1.4 version?
    The version I have (V1.1 or V1.0) is also protected?
    The procedure is the same as described in the post update Bios V1.3 to V1.4?

    Thank you

    Yes, downlowd the v1.4 BIOS and run the update.
    You have v1.10 and is not locked!

    Open the Boot tab, then scroll down its below show logo, you must use a usb keyboard, Bluetooth wont connect, just keep hitting Del.
    when I updated to ver 1.4 I went back in thinking I had to enable it again, now the option has gone, so if you cant see it in ver 1.3 you might have installed ver 1.4 already without realizing. :whistle:
    Cheers

    Minix-Ken, can you provide the Bios Version for the new 1.4 Bios? Is it CHT0A120?

    CHT0A140

    In the BIOS - Project Version CHT0A 1.40 x64

    FYI CHT0A120 is V1.20 BIOS

    Thanks Villa. I updated and project version is now CHT0A 1.40 x64 (from previous CHT0A 1.20 x64).

    Interestingly when I ran the .bat file I wasn't prompted for Admin rights nor did the machine reboot multiple times...simply once as normal. Anyways, it's updated!

    When i enter the bios the system time is not working as it should.
    By the looks of it it counts every 10 minutes as if it is 1 second , so the time jumps 1 minute every 6 seconds ?

    What is your BIOS version? Is it updated to the latest CHT0A140? Please reply.

    Downloaded the file from the link above . Windows Defender thinks there is a virus in it. :(

    If you're using the link from post#1 then its fine. I've installed it and had no issues. Probably a false positive
